Meet the Whimsical Family
Emma, aka Naughty Morty
Living and loving her life with her husband and two young children, Emma also had a childcare business, a crafting business, and a network marketing business. That was until one day when her entire world changed forever.
On the 29th October 2015 Emma suddenly collapsed to the. floor suffering a major stroke at the age of just 31. Thankfully, due to quick thinking family she was rushed to hospital where she was treated in less than an hour. Emma was left partially disabled down her the entire right side of her body.
A little over 2 year later Emma went into renal failure. In May 2018, she found herself once again in hospital this time to have an emergency neckline inserted, to enable her to start haemodialysis. In March 2019 she underwent surgery to have a live-donor kidney transplant thanks to her amazing Father.
During that summer Emma spent her days sat on the floor doodling to regain for fine motor skills. On the 12th August she doodled a mouse in a plant pot and accidently coloured its cheeks blue! But rather than throw it away Emma turned the blue cheeks into flowers and thought that the little mouse looked so cute and a little bit Naughty.
This was the birth of Naughty Morty and Whimsical Woodland Way
Mr IT Whimsical - Mark Reed (AKA Rory the Rabbit)
Tinkering with the first family computer back in the 90’s, Mark developed an enjoyment for computers and a skill for problem solving. This led him into his career, and he has been an IT engineer for over 20 years.
Mr Whimsical also has a love of music, and first learned to play the guitar as a teenager listening to and learning Oasis’ Wonderwall. When Emma was pregnant with Eldest Whimsical, he would play the song Half the World Away on the guitar to her belly. Thanks to Mr Whimsical both children also love music and enjoy playing the guitar, drums and keyboard.
Eldest Whimsical - Cameron Reed (AKA Felix the fox)
Cameron has always marched to the beat of his own drum, having additional needs he certainly brings bags of life, energy and laughter to the Whimsical family. Now in his teenage years he is into cars, anime and Yu-Gi-Oh. From the age of around 8 years he decided he wanted to be an automotive Design Engineer and eventually work for Ferrari, in Marenello, Italy, although this has now changed and he wants to own his own company and make his own cars!. Littlest Whimsical - Caiden Reed (AKA Bobby the Bear)
From a very young age Caiden has always had a caring nature and is very affectionate. After Emma had her Stroke, when Caiden was just 7 years old, he took a more supportive carers role, whilst Mark was at work. As he has grown up he has learned many domestic skills, one in particular that he loves, cooking. At the moment, as well as making up stories, he also wants to be a chef, he makes a mean Mac’n’Cheese.
